What do false portraits lie to us?

When I read that, supposedly, Nicholas II or his wife, as well as someone else from the highest aristocracy have “degeneration features”, or “what all these princesses are scary,” I understand why people write this . These individuals are not associated with them, with critics at the genetic level. Even on sociocultural. Narrow faces with straight noses, without vulgar lips on half a face, long fingers, high foreheads – this is unnatural for lovers of young Pamela Anderson. Galina Ivankina Ulrika Fredrika Pash, or Ulla at home, was considered one of the very, very few professional artists of Sweden until the very beginning of the 19th century. We note at the same time that her life fell on the XVIII century, when women artists could be counted on the fingers. Continue reading

Baroque

Baroque – (Portuguese. Baroco – freaky, bad, wrong, spoiled). The term “baroque” has many meanings in the history of art. Among them are narrower, to indicate artistic styles in art of various countries of the XVII-XVIII centuries, or broader – to identify ever-renewing trends of a restless, romantic worldview, thinking in expressive, dynamic forms, or generally as a poetic metaphor: “Baroque man” , “Baroque era”, “Baroque world”, “Baroque life”. Until the turn of the 16th-17th centuries, Classicism and Romanticism existed as two independent, in all opposing artistic directions, two trends of artistic thinking. Continue reading

Abstractionism

The tendency of the separation of art from the image of reality received a logical conclusion in the works of abstract artists. Their work was distinguished by a complete lack of plot and composition. Abstract art is considered one of the most complex phenomena of modern culture, since it completely excludes ideological content and figurative form.

A new direction in art was named from the Latin word abstractus, which means “abstract”. The canvases, made in an abstract style, were not popular with the masses, because the paintings, randomly filled with spots and lines, are quite difficult to understand. The quality of such work is practically not evaluable. Theorist of abstract art, Michel Seyfor, defines this direction in this way: “I call abstract any art that does not contain any Continue reading
