City Pictures

The world of colors and romance of urban everyday life. The plots are diverse, inspiring authors to create pictures of cities in the world. The city is beautiful in the light of night lamps, and in the rays of the bright sun. A stranger swiftly swept through the puddles. But the first autumn leaf circled over the tiled roofs, personifying the inevitable change of seasons.

How did the artist Mikhail Germashev draw the last ray of the setting sun?

The sun sets, and the wind died down, There is no trace of those lights pierced by clouds; Here, on the outskirts, a living and unburning wavered, All that steppe illuminated and faded ray. Finally, in every time, almost in every historical art style, they find their “Baroque period”.

In the most famous sense, Baroque is a historical artistic style, which was spread initially in Italy in the middle of the XVI-XVII centuries, and then partially in France, as well as in Spain, Flanders and Germany of the XVII-XVIII centuries. The Baroque Style is remarkable in that for the first time in the history of world art, seemingly unconnectable components were combined in it: Classicism and Romanticism. Until the turn of the 16th-17th centuries, Classicism and Romanticism existed as two independent, in all opposing artistic directions, two trends of artistic thinking. Continue reading
